This architectural proposal for a new Maxima XX shopping center was initially
designed by TEMPT as a competition entry.
With ergonomic functional planning and distinctive facade elements, this project
emphasises the XX concept of the shopping mall and our entry won the chance to
be built. The facade elements are covered with rusted metal sheets. The main
construction of the building was designed using a light metal shell covered with
sandwich panels. Roofing windows were inserted within the wide roof of main part
of the building to ensure the required natural light levels for interior spaces. A
complex facade lighting system was also designed to emphasise the geometry of
the facade lines. Site planning also included green zones, interconnecting
pedestrian walkways and the required number of parking lots, a technical entrance
area and adequate connections to the nearest public transport facilities.
